A Quality Control Order has been notified by the MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) to make BIS ISI mark certification mandatory for Washing Machines. This QCO was published by the Bureau of Indian Standards (Govt. of India) on 5th March, 2024 in the official gazette.
All the manufacturers or importers of Washing Machines are now have to get BIS license otherwise they are not allowed to manufacturer or sale their products in the Indian market as per the guidelines o Bureau of Indian Standards.
