A Quality Control Order (QCO) was issued on 23 August, 2024 by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals And Petrochemicals) after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards to make it compulsory for manufacturers or importers of Polypropylene (PP) Materials for Moulding and Extrusion to obtain BIS Certification.
